This Position reports to:

Supervisor manufacturing


Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.. The work model for the role is onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels including the packing where integrated with production lines.
  • Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
  • Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
  • Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and push carts that weigh more than 300 lbs. Position may require regular lifting bending and twisting. Able to work multiple machines and stand for entire shift. Willing to cross-train operate multiple machines willing to work overtime and willing to be a team player. Must keep area clean as needed and meet productivity goals. Position includes rotation to other jobs within facility. Make necessary adjustments to machines. Check work pieces for accuracy & defects using various gauges. Must be able to follow work-instructions and make parts according to customer specifications. Notify supervisors when repairs are required. Turn on machines. Test run machines. Observe machine operation. Check machines for malfunctions. Use computers to enter performed work read work instructions and report work orders. Working safely is the top priority! Safety rules must always be followed. Safety protocol & PPE requirements must be followed. Regular & predictable attendance is required. Must be capable of following instructions using various websites and contacting vendors directly for a variety of activities such as surveys benefits enrollment reporting safety issues making personal information/banking changes. ABB has a Code-of Conduct that must be followed. Must have one year of experience in manufacturing.
  • Must have HS diploma or equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • Basic computer skills required

    12-months experience in a manufacturing facility is required

    High School diploma or equivalent required

    Experience in a motor-manufacturing facility preferred

    Familiarity with motor assembly motor parts and production flow is preferred
