Overview
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design engineering procurement implementation operations sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains at multiple locations worldwide to support the IC mission.
The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Daily administration of multiple RHEL servers attached storage and the networks they utilize.
- Provides Tier 3 problem identification diagnosis and resolution.
- Implements troubleshoots and maintains IT systems remotely.
- Documents the management of system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations monitoring and problem resolution for all of the server/storage devices.
- Works within existing Ticket management practices to escalate and communicate status to the customer and program.
- Collaborates with engineers across multiple contracts to produce security and engineering related artifacts that span technical physical and logical system scope.
- Interfaces with subject matter experts from across several contracts and service lanes to support and document systems environments.
- Provides On-Call support on a rotational as-needed basis.
- Travel is expected for installations repair and disaster recovery.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education technical certifications or training or work experience.
- Ten (10) years experience as a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator supporting complex multi-site enterprise-scale environments.
Requires Certifications:
DesiredCertifications:
- CompTIA Security or equivalent recommended.
Required Skills:
- Experience writing detailed technical documentation.
- Ability to respond to after hours on call support.
- Ability to present to internal & external leadership.
- Existing knowledge of our Customers process procedures and production.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Geospatial software tools.
