The Natural Resource Access Regulator (NRAR) enforces the NSW water laws and offers guidance and education to help water users comply. We strive to be an efficient and effective regulator that celebrates and reflects the diversity of the community we serve. NRARs Performance Analytics and Artificial Intelligence team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Performance Analyst to bridge the technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate complex data into clear actionable insights that inform decision-making across NRAR.
The role quickly develops an understanding of organisational processes and data engages closely with operational staff and technical teams and supports junior analysts to keep work on track. With strong stakeholder management critical thinking and foundational data skills such as advanced Excel the Senior Performance Analyst focuses on developing outcome-based KPIs designing practical metrics and improving internal processes to ensure data is effectively leveraged to enhance performance and operational outcomes.
About You
You have demonstrated experience as a Performance analyst with strong skills in process mapping and data-driven analysis including experience working with diverse stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions. You have strong data analytical skills to be able to formulate written reports for non-technical stakeholders.
You have strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain trustful relationships with diverse stakeholders guiding non-technical operational staff to provide accurate and meaningful information despite varying levels of technical understanding and navigating sensitive topics with stakeholders while preserving strong collaborative relationships to ensure effective data-driven decision-making.
You have demonstrated foundational understanding of basic Power BI dashboard creation and editing to provide quick supportive fixes while relying on developers and data specialists for complex tasks.
