DescriptionPosition Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-drivenNational Sales Managerto lead and grow our presence in thesports market segment with a specific focus on promoting and selling ourLas Vegas hotels and resorts. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives targeting professional collegiate and amateur sports organizations governing bodies and event organizers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the sports industry strong relationships within the sector and a proven track record of driving revenue through strategic partnerships and group bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
Develop and implement a national sales strategy to grow market share within the sports segment with a primary focus on driving business to our Las Vegas properties. - Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at sports organizations including leagues teams athletic departments and event planners. - Revenue Generation:
Drive group bookings long-term contracts and event-based business specifically for our Las Vegas hotels and resorts meeting or exceeding revenue targets. - Market Intelligence:
Monitor trends in the sports travel and hospitality industry identifying new opportunities and competitive threats. - Collaboration:
Work closely with regional sales teams revenue management and hotel operations to ensure seamless execution of sports-related business in Las Vegas. - Event Representation:
Represent the brand at industry trade shows sports conferences and client events to promote our Las Vegas offerings and build brand awareness. - Reporting & Forecasting:
Provide regular sales reports forecasts and performance analysis to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Hospitality Sports Management or related field.
- Minimum 57 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry with a strong focus on the sports market.
- Established network within professional collegiate and/or amateur sports organizations.
- Proven ability to close complex deals and manage long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with a large hotel brand or multi-property portfolio.
- Familiarity with the Las Vegas hospitality and events market.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce Delphi).
- Passion for sports and understanding of sports event logistics.
