Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Supply Chain, NA Network S&OP

The NA Network S&OP team within NA Supply Chain is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer. You will contribute to defining building and automating Sales & Operations and capacity planning for one of the largest supply chains this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists software engineering business operations product finance and more. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements implement scalable systems and drive automation to enhance efficiency with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network. Whether youre managing network capacity initiatives overseeing cross-functional programs or focusing on strategic projects your impact will be visible ongoing and contribute directly to our commitment to being the most customer-centric company on earth.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop (as an individual contributor) or lead the development of (as a technical lead) enhanced and automated S&OP planning resources leveraging AI.
- Build advanced visualization solutions to allow business and tech stakeholders to self-serve and deep dive the teams plans driving enhanced explainability and adoption.
- Collaborate with leaders across multiple teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

You will lead critical performance management initiatives for inventory placement leveraging complex data management/visualization and presenting those to different levels within the company:

- Design and own the right set of metrics measuring inventory placement performance
- Recommend improvements to the placement strategy using modelling and large datasets. Youll guide planning teams and other relevant stakeholders with regards to the mix of products to place in Amazon buildings maximizing selection and reducing distance to customers and spinning the Amazon flywheel!
- Pioneer new ideas to increase speed and reduce delivery cost to customers
- Pilot and implement your recommendation in production through smart configurations in Amazon systems
- Develop the analytics required to visualize opportunities and measure progresses
- Partner with worldwide technical teams to develop new features

- 10 years of professional or military experience
- 5 years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining

- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
