Reporting directly to the Head of Global Social Media this role will lead the development and execution of Guccis social media strategy across fashion and beauty ensuring full alignment with the brands creative vision and global business goals.
The Global Social Media Manager will oversee a team of dedicated professionals and partner with diverse global stakeholders to shape innovative activations and amplify Guccis cultural influence worldwide.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader with a minimum of 8 years in luxury fashion or beauty social media management with proven success in delivering impactful global campaigns
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement Guccis global social media vision across fashion and beauty to enhance brand desirability cultural relevance and community growth.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing global team fostering creativity accountability and excellence.
- Ensure global consistency while empowering local adaptation.
- Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align and cascade strategies worldwide.
Content & Storytelling
- Oversee the editorial and publishing calendar across all major platforms (Instagram TikTok YouTube Facebook X WeChat Weibo Little Red Book Douyin Kakao Line Pinterest).
- Collaborate with Creative Direction Art Direction and Art Buying to deliver exceptional platform-first content that embodies Guccis DNA.
- Shape storytelling and narratives consistent with Guccis tone aesthetics and cultural positioning.
- Identify emerging trends and new formats to keep Gucci at the forefront of digital culture.
Community & Engagement
- Build authentic inclusive and creative engagement across global communities.
- Partner with regional teams to tailor messaging for local relevance.
- Monitor audience sentiment and support proactive brand protection.
Analytics & Performance
- Define and track KPIs for engagement reach and growth.
- Analyze performance and share actionable insights with senior management.
- Benchmark competitors to identify opportunities for impact and innovation.
Collaboration & Amplification
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing Communications Media Merchandising Client Engagement and Digital to amplify campaigns.
- Build relationships with agencies and platform partners to drive innovation and first-to-market activations.
- Oversee budget allocation and ensure efficient resource management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 8 years of experience leading social media for an international luxury fashion or beauty brand.
- Proven record of developing impactful global strategies and culturally resonant campaigns.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of luxury consumers and global digital culture.
- Expertise in storytelling content curation and platform strategy.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in social media analytics tools.
- Excellent organizational communication and presentation abilities.
- Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages a plus.
- Passion for luxury creativity and digital culture
