Job Summary
As a Platform Privacy Engineer youll work to create user-facing features that improve privacy in platforms such as iOS and macOS. Youll work at the framework level to enable to functionality design to drive adoption of the features and work cross functionally with teams from the kernel to the App Store. Youll tackle novel problems often and be responsible for multiple projects up and down the stack. Youll also frequently research experiment and test your way to new solutions. Successful candidates will be skilled engineers who are passionate about privacy can work through challenging problems independently and dont mind context switching between projects. The ability to learn and grow quickly is very valued in this position. You will be touching new systems frequently pitching new ideas and actively working on the future of privacy at Apple.
- Passion for user privacy
- Experience with developing software for Apples platforms
- Strong background in data structures and system architecture
- Strong collaboration communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- BA/BS Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 5 years practical background in software engineering and client development
- Proficiency in Objective-C Swift or another C-based language
- Experience with lower-level iOS and macOS frameworks like XPC
