Newburyport High School is looking for a long term substitute Reading Teacher to provide reading instruction to individual and small groups of students with diagnosed learning disabilities. Focus will be on students who demonstrate significant decoding and fluency deficits. Preference to special education teachers or reading specialists with Orton-Gillingham certification. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach reading 1:1 and small groups of students with specific learning disabilities. Complete reading evaluation of students as assignedParticipate in IEP Team meetings Assist in the development of student IEPs (recommend accommodations write goals recommend services) Complete IEP progress reports on each student Consult regularly with classroom teachers & special education teachers.
