Job Summary
An Outstanding 1118 school in Gloucester is looking to appoint a Design & Technology ECT for a full-time permanent position starting January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Technology Department that values innovation and practical learning.
About the Role
The successful ECT will teach DT across KS3KS5 specialising in Product Design Engineering or Resistant Materials. They will plan engaging lessons that combine creativity critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.
The department encourages experimentation and student-led design supporting projects that promote sustainability functionality and innovation. The ECT will also have the opportunity to lead or assist with extracurricular activities such as robotics clubs design showcases and national competitions.

Experience and Qualifications
- QTS/PGCE and degree in DT Engineering or Product Design
