Chief Architect

We are looking for a Chief Architect to define and lead the technical vision behind Tangibles platform and integration strategy with global banks and financial institutions. This role is ideal for a strategic yet hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in enterprise-grade integrations financial protocols security and regulatory compliance. You will shape Tangibles technical foundation building scalable secure and interoperable systems that power liquidity across private markets.

Tasks

Technical Strategy & Vision

• Define and maintain Tangibles technical architecture roadmap aligning it with business strategy and long-term growth objectives.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalability reliability and security across all platform components and integrations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities to enhance platform performance and efficiency.

Architecture Design & Implementation

• Own the end-to-end design of integrations with banks custodians and financial institutions.
• Establish and enforce integration standards APIs and communication protocols to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Design and oversee secure high-performance systems supporting payments settlements KYC/AML workflows and regulatory reporting.
• Define and implement observability resilience and fault-tolerance strategies for high-volume transaction processing.

Security Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to financial and data security regulations (e.g. GDPR PSD2 SOC2).
• Implement best practices for encryption identity and access management (OAuth2 OIDC SAML SCIM) and overall data protection.
• Define and uphold architectural standards coding guidelines and review processes to maintain quality and reliability across teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product engineering compliance and operations teams to translate complex business requirements into robust scalable technical solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison in discussions with external partners including banks financial institutions and vendors.
• Communicate technical strategy risks and trade-offs clearly to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical leadership and direction to engineering teams ensuring architectural consistency and delivery excellence.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and technical mastery.
• Contribute to hiring onboarding and professional development across the engineering organization.

Requirements

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience in software architecture with at least 5 years in financial services or fintech integrations.

• Proven expertise in API design enterprise integrations and distributed systems.

• Strong knowledge of financial protocols (e.g. FIX SWIFT ISO 20022) and secure data exchange.

• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) containerization and networking.

• Hands-on experience with data security encryption and compliance frameworks (KYC/AML PSD2 GDPR).

• Familiarity with identity and access management standards (OAuth2 OIDC SAML SCIM).

• Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing technical strategy at the executive level.
