Our client is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients in their homes throughout the Evanston area. This position focuses on delivering high-quality clinical care and emotional support to patients and their families promoting comfort dignity and peace during the hospice journey.
Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments developing and implementing individualized care plans managing symptoms administering medications and maintaining accurate documentation. The nurse will coordinate with the hospice care team and provide education and guidance to families.
Required qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois

Associate degree or higher in Nursing

Minimum of one year of professional RN experience (Hospice experience preferred)

Current BLS and CPR certification (training support available if not current)

Valid drivers license reliable transportation and auto insurance
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (start and end times may vary). Includes one 24-hour weekend day shift per month and two weekday on-call shifts per month (5 PM to 8 AM). Dedicated after-hours RNs provide nightly coverage. Additional stipends and compensation are available for on-call shifts. Two holidays per year (one summer one winter) and three floating holidays.
