Role Overview
The Project Engineer will manage small to large-scale projects supervising Design Engineers and Engineering Technicians. This role involves direct client engagement project oversight and collaboration across engineering disciplines. The Project Engineer will also contribute to business development activities and proposal preparation.
This position reports to Senior Project or Managing Engineers and requires independent decision-making technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and prepare design plans and technical details using CAD software.
- Oversee project budgets timelines and quality standards.
- Engage directly with clients and assist in building long-term relationships.
- Support proposal development and qualification submissions.
- Conduct design computations develop criteria sketches reports and cost estimates.
- Prepare contract documents and coordinate with surveyors architects and external consultants.
- Review and process shop drawings for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Supervise preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Desired Experience & Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with 3 5 years of relevant experience; OR
- Associates Degree with 7 10 years of relevant experience.
- Successful completion of the EIT (Engineer-in-Training) exam preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software.
- Strong analytical communication and organizational skills.
