Mandatory Candidate Requirements
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering
Licensure
- Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license REQUIRED
- Candidate must be on track for Geotechnical Engineer (GE) licensure
Experience
- 5 years of geotechnical engineering and project management experience
- Proven experience managing projects from proposal through construction
- Strong client-facing and reporting background
Core Technical Expertise
Candidates must have experience in:
- Shallow & deep foundation design (vertical and lateral capacity)
- Settlement and liquefaction analysis
- Slope stability analysis
- Retaining wall and grading recommendations
- Construction geotechnical services and site inspections
- Preparation and review of geotechnical reports addenda and proposals
Knowledge of ground motion evaluation is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical projects across private and public sectors
- Delegate work to engineering and field teams
- Review and approve geotechnical reports and proposals
- Provide engineering recommendations for development and infrastructure projects
- Oversee construction-phase geotechnical services
- Support business development and client relationships
