Job Summary

Design sensor mounting brackets (e.g. for camera radar LiDAR) in CAD with primary focus on plastic injection molded components.
Own the end-to-end CAD development: from concept 3D modeling packaging to release.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including:
Sensor integration engineers to meet alignment/tolerance specs.
Tooling and manufacturing teams to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
Packaging and body-in-white (BIW) teams to optimize bracket placement.
Apply DFM/DFS principles for plastic injection molding (draft angles ribs bosses wall thickness warpage control etc.).
Integrate supplier input and feedback on mold tooling feasibility.
Collaborate with simulation/NVH teams to support vibration thermal and structural performance.
Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and prepare 2D drawings with GD&T.
Release components via 3DX PLM and maintain BOMs.
Support prototype builds design validation and tooling kick-off activities.

Qualifications
Must-Have:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or related field.
3 years of experience in automotive CAD design ideally in sensor packaging or bracket design.
Strong proficiency in CATIA V6
Deep understanding of plastic injection molding design (e.g. draft undercuts gating parting lines).
Experience with ADAS sensors or packaging of precision components.
Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up methodology.
Familiarity with vehicle-level integration constraints (thermal NVH space etc.).
Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and suppliers.
Nice to Have:
Experience with metal bracket design (e.g. die-cast sheet metal) as a complement to plastics.
Exposure to sensor functional requirements (e.g. camera FoV radar alignment thermal constraints).
Basic knowledge of FEA tools or CAE collaboration workflows.
Familiarity with Lucid or EV startup environments and fast-paced development cycles.
