Job Summary

Title: Database Administrator - Senior - GOAPRDJP

Duration: to(6 Months possible extension)

Location: Remote/Canada

DBA experience within an environment of similar size and complexity of Government of Alberta.

Experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience as a SQL Infrastructure DBA (Backups replication installation configuration)

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.

Experience with PowerBI PowerView Microsoft SQL Reporting and Analytical Services.

Experience with SQL Server High Availability Groups

Experience working with querying data with Microsoft Transact-SQL Server.

Experience with Amazon Web Services databases

Experience with Azure SQL

Experience with migrating on-premise databases to Azure or AWS

Experience with open-source databases such as PostgreSQL MySQL MariaDB CosmosDB etc.

Experience with PowerBI querying Azure SQL

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services

Experience with SQL Server replication

Experience with troubleshooting performance issues within SQL Server 2016 or higher.

Experience working in a Help Desk type of environment where the work is delivered through a ticket or email.

Experience working in a multi-tenancy environment where developers do not have access to secured environments like User Acceptance Test or Production.

Experience working with Oracle 19c or higher
