Summary:

• Lead and support requirements definition decomposition and allocation from aircraft-level to system and item levels.

• Develop and maintain functional and logical airplane and system architectures.

• Conduct and support Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA) Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA) and Common Mode Analyses (CMA) in alignment with safety objectives.

• Guide item design and implementation ensuring complete traceability to higher-level requirements.

• Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model (item verification system integration and verification aircraft-level verification).

• Support safety analyses (SSA FMEA/FMES) and ensure compliance with aerospace and defense regulations (e.g. DO-178C DO-254 ARP4754A ARP4761).

• Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams during design integration and testing phases.

• Prepare documentation and provide support for certification authorities (FAA/EASA).

• Participate in design reviews audits and technical interchange meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Aerospace Engineering Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related technical field.

• 5 years of experience in systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace automotive or other complex system domains.

• Hands-on experience with V-Model processes (requirements design implementation verification validation).

• Working knowledge of safety assessments (FHA PSSA SSA CMA FMEA/FMES).

• Familiarity with certification frameworks such as ARP4754A ARP4761 DO-178C and DO-254.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication abilities.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS).

• Knowledge of system modeling (SysML/UML Cameo or equivalent).

• Experience with test planning and execution at multiple integration levels.

• Background in aircraft design development and certification.
