Client is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the ADA Compliance Forms Analyst. The role would be focused on updating the current DPOR Applications Forms and related website content on the Departments website to bring them into compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as defined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 Level AA. This role would ensure that individuals with disabilities have an equal opportunity to access the Departments public-facing website content. This position is also responsible for maintaining accessibility standards for newly developed website content including (but not limited to) forms and applications Board documents consent orders and final orders Board meeting notes Town Hall documents education provider lists and any additional content published by the Department that is essential for the public to participate in or benefit from the departments services
Job responsibilities:
Remediating PDF documents to be compatible with modern screen readers by editing document tab order header tags help text form field descriptions and color/text contrast
Testing content before it is published to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements
Coordinating with board staff to provide accommodations for individuals requiring assistance completing processes or obtaining information in an alternate format
Collaborating with the Communications Manager toas required to ensure web content meets accessibility standards
