Job Summary

Job Title: HIL Integration Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills Michigan

Job Description:

  • Develop and reduce plant models for use in HIL systems.
  • Populate and maintain a repository of plant model library components.
  • Integrate plant models into MIL SIL and HIL environments.
  • Collaborate with xIL Systems team to troubleshoot issues during test property commissioning.
  • Must be a strong team player systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise (ADAS EE electric and hybrid systems)
  • Work with HIL systems such as dSPACE ETAS and NI.
  • Develop and manage MIL/SIL systems using Soft ECUs and Virtual ECUs.
  • Interface with global teams across NA EMEA APAC and LATAM regions.
  • Conduct benchmarking and evaluate emerging xIL technologies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to define and fulfill plant model requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement methodology development and tool enhancement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronics hardware automotive industry
  • Experience with plant and controller modeling simulation development testing and validation
  • Knowledge and experience with Powertrain EE electric and hybrid systems
  • Demonstrated Hardware- In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE ETAS NI HIL systems)
  • Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
  • Experience with C/C code generation
  • Knowledge of Simulation Tool (e.g. CarMaker ASM)
  • Experience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power AMESim and co-simulation tools.
  • Experience with model-based development tools using m-script
  • Experience with Matlab m-scripting OR Experiences with PythonJavaScript
  • Experience in Test Automation Tools Development.
  • Master of Science degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred
  • Working experience of Model Development is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and specific simulation software is preferred
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Systems Components is also preferred
  • Experience of working within an AGILE or Scrum framework is preferred
  • Experience in Test Automation is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity is preferred
  • Strong understanding of the development of embedded software
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
  • Good understanding of the development of embedded software
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
