Job Title: HIL Integration Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills Michigan
Job Description:
- Develop and reduce plant models for use in HIL systems.
- Populate and maintain a repository of plant model library components.
- Integrate plant models into MIL SIL and HIL environments.
- Collaborate with xIL Systems team to troubleshoot issues during test property commissioning.
- Must be a strong team player systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise (ADAS EE electric and hybrid systems)
- Work with HIL systems such as dSPACE ETAS and NI.
- Develop and manage MIL/SIL systems using Soft ECUs and Virtual ECUs.
- Interface with global teams across NA EMEA APAC and LATAM regions.
- Conduct benchmarking and evaluate emerging xIL technologies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to define and fulfill plant model requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement methodology development and tool enhancement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronics hardware automotive industry
- Experience with plant and controller modeling simulation development testing and validation
- Knowledge and experience with Powertrain EE electric and hybrid systems
- Demonstrated Hardware- In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE ETAS NI HIL systems)
- Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
- Experience with C/C code generation
- Knowledge of Simulation Tool (e.g. CarMaker ASM)
- Experience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power AMESim and co-simulation tools.
- Experience with model-based development tools using m-script
- Experience with Matlab m-scripting OR Experiences with PythonJavaScript
- Experience in Test Automation Tools Development.
- Master of Science degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred
- Working experience of Model Development is preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and specific simulation software is preferred
- Knowledge of Vehicle Systems Components is also preferred
- Experience of working within an AGILE or Scrum framework is preferred
- Experience in Test Automation is preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity is preferred
- Strong understanding of the development of embedded software
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
- Good understanding of the development of embedded software
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
