Use your strategic finance skills to contribute to sustainable water management for the environment and communities of NSW
Opportunity to join the Natural Resource Access Regulator (NRAR) and contributing to making sure water is used lawfully so that all communities and the environment get a fair share.
Our Strategic Finance team is currently seeking to appoint a Strategic Finance Officer to provide critical advice and services to facilitate robust financial management and support the achievement of corporate strategy and key objectives. This includes budgeting forecasting reporting and research to deliver key outcomes.
The role also provides high level accounting support services including the review of all general ledger accounts to ensure consistent reconciliation with management reports and annual financial statements.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have knowledge of the application of the Government Sector Finance Act 2018 Treasurers Directions and Australian Accounting Standards with a broad understanding of relevant Government policies.
Your key experience is in management reporting budgeting and statutory financial accounting coupled with knowledge and experience in financial management and accounting principles and practices.
With good time management and communication skills you have the demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and diverse stakeholder needs in a fast paced and time critical environment.
You are self-motivated and have a genuine interest in keeping up to date with changing accounting standards NSW Treasury policies and other statutory reporting requirements.
Having or working towards membership with a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia would be highly regarded.
