Financial Controller -Mossel Bay Western Cape
Our client a respected leader in the Hospitality Industry is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the financial operations provide strategic insights and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.
Duties include but not limited to:- Full function for AR/AP Including age analysis processing and management of Debtors Control
- Bank Reconciliations
- Cash Drop reconciliations and management
- Payroll preparation support
- Maintaining ledgers to the trial balance
- Filing and record-keeping
- Support Financial Manager
- Prepare financial reports
- Ensure compliance with all internal financial controls rules and audit requirements
Qualifications:- Matric coupled with a degree and or national diploma in accounting
- 2-3 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping - including clerical or internship work
- Computer skills - SAGE / Pastel MS Office (Excel)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Previous experiences in the hospitality industry will be advantageous
Skills:- Strong understanding of accounting principles debits/credits/trial balance
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to reconcile accounts and process invoices
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication - written and verbal
- Ability to work within a team environment
