Salary: $75000 - $110000 yr DOE
Responsibilities
- Analyze composites - Physical and chemical
- Operation of analytical equipment such as HPLC FTIR
- Managing the calibration of glass wares and the instruments and maintenance cleaning and checking of equipment
- Familiarity/Operation of instruments such as ICP/OES Leco pH XRF MFR FTIR DSC TGA TMA DMA GC/MS hardness meters analytical balances etc.
- Coordinating with the other technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule
- Manage verification and calibration of instruments.
- Familiar with particle size density flow rates

This is a fast-paced environment and we need someone who is proactive self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field respected by all who they work with keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will need :
- Associates degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent and/or at least 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Preferred 7 years experience in the testing field
- Ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to work different working overtime hours if required or necessary.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills and listening ability to communicate effectively with peers superiors customers and vendors.
- Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent / chemistry / consultant laboratory.
NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities technical data technology software and services. U.S. citizenship U.S. legal permanent resident status protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization including if required an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerces Bureau of Industry and Security the U.S. Department of States Directorate of Defense Trade Controls or other applicable government agency.
