Team and Job Purpose

The Programme Delivery department drives the implementation of our strategy by ensuring that programme and advocacy delivery is done right first time at scale with impact and quality on time on budget and with compliance. We aim to strengthen and enable implementing offices ability to work in complex and hostile environments be more locally-led smarter in its sourcing and with a smaller environmental footprint. The department leads comprehensively on the organisations humanitarian and crisis response strategy including prioritisation programme quality operational delivery and interagency collaboration and influencing.

Role purpose

To provide data and analytics expertise supporting the maintenance and development of dashboards and reports for both the PRIME system and Right First Time ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights for the organisation. This role is essential in delivering standardised project management metrics and reports contributing to operational KPIs and supporting SCIs efforts to enhance project monitoring and evaluation. By ensuring clarity and effectiveness in data handling the Prime & RFT Data & Insights Analyst plays a critical part in advancing the organisations strategic objectives and operational excellence.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Maintain the RFT dashboard by ensuring its monthly refresh and addressing any data inconsistencies in partnership with the IT BI team.
  • Support SCI Offices and Members in understanding and utilising the RFT dashboard effectively.
  • Collaborate with the centre Awards team to maintain additional RFT reports and dashboards such as the Level of Service report.
  • Conduct analysis of the annual data collection for AM Member Resourcing providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop a comprehensive set of project management metrics for the PRIME initiative aligning them with operational KPIs to enable effective progress tracking.
  • Deliver standard reports within PRIME creating a roadmap for project management reporting and fostering report-building capabilities within the PRIME team.
  • Contribute to the solution architecture and business processes for data flows in and out of PRIME in relation to monitoring and evaluation of projects.
  • With the coordination of the Head of Management Data & Insights work on any ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested from other stakeholders.
  • Contribute and be an active member of the wider Data Analytics communities of practice: lead collaborate and innovate on capacity building activities that benefit the D&A community.

Experience and Skills

Essential

  1. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in data manipulation and analysis ensuring the accuracy and reliability of insights.
  2. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to identify issues gaps and opportunities within dashboards and reports.
  3. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate insights and recommendations clearly to various stakeholders.
  4. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including IT Awards and SCI Country Offices.
  5. Project Management: Skilled in developing and tracking project management metrics and contributing to solution architectures.
  6. Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Experience maintaining and updating dashboards resolving data inconsistencies and collaborating with IT teams and external stakeholders.
  8. Proficient experience in conducting data analysis to provide actionable insights particularly in the context of annual data collections or similar surveys.
  9. Considerable experience in developing and maintaining project management reports and metrics and contributing to the monitoring and evaluation processes.
  10. A demonstrated commitment to and experience with promoting diversity equity and inclusion within data practices and collaboration efforts.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Data Science/Analytics Statistics Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles data integrity and data security measures.
  • Proficient in the use of data analysis and visualisation tools such as SQL Power BI Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and metrics particularly in tracking and reporting KPIs.

Desirable

  • Advanced training or certifications in data analytics business intelligence or project management is advantageous but not compulsory.
