Job Summary
Maintenance Refrigeration Technician
Columbus OH
$35-37 hour (Direct Hire)
Responsibilities
- Operate maintain and repair ammonia and nitrogen refrigeration systems freezers air conditioning and chilled water systems for food production and storage.
- Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Keep logs analyze data for maintenance planning and inspect equipment using gauges and manuals.
- Order parts and maintain work areas according to GMP and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years industrial ammonia refrigeration maintenance experience required.
- Experience with nitrogen freezers and related equipment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in refrigeration systems.
- Ammonia Operator Level I certification required; Level II preferred.
Essential Functions
- Remain stationary and position self to access equipment in tight spaces.
- Move transport and install equipment and parts up to 50 pounds.
- Detect and assess equipment conditions communicate and exchange accurate information.
