About the RoleReporting to the Properties Manager the Grounds & Maintenance Officer is responsible for the development presentation and upkeep of the Colleges property and physical assets. This includes buildings furniture and fittings utility services grounds and gardens and play equipment. The role ensures that the College is safe well-presented and fully functional while also assisting with moving furniture and equipment across the campus.
This role operates at a high level of responsibility requiring the ability to work independently while demonstrating advanced communication organisational and administrative skills.
Location: St Catherine Campus (occasional duties at St Clare campus may be required)
Tenure: Full-time ongoing
Classification: School Services Officer CEMEA 2022 Category A/D
Maintain daily operations of St Catherine facilities including site security lawns gardens sporting fields synthetic turf play equipment fences gates pathways drains watering systems and waste management.
Respond efficiently to emergencies and hazards to ensure staff students and visitors are safe.
Action staff maintenance or work requests including setup and pack-down for events.
Complete scheduled maintenance tasks during school holidays such as spring cleaning and building projects.
Assist in overseeing contracts and relationships with external contractors service providers and building companies.
Maintain and care for department equipment and keep accurate records of maintenance tasks inspections and safety logs.
Comply with all OH&S regulations.
Attend non-teaching staff and team meetings and undertake professional learning to maintain current best practices.
Support and comply with the Colleges Child Safe Policy Code of Conduct and other relevant policies.
