Key Responsibilities
Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement Configuration Management (CM) plans policies and procedures aligned with business objectives and project requirements.
- Support the creation and continuous improvement of tools and business processes that enable effective configuration management.
Configuration Identification & Control
- Review engineering drawings CAD models specifications bills of materials (BOMs) and other technical documents in conjunction with reviewing contract requirements terms and conditions.
- Accurately input update and manage configuration data within engineering and manufacturing systems.
- Build and validate BOMs for new products and verify BOMs for legacy work.
Configuration Audits & Compliance
- Ensure all configuration data aligns precisely with contract requirements and technical documentation.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy across the entire product lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in technical documentation.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with lead specialists engineers and other stakeholders to clarify technical requirements.
- Produce clear detailed written plans and overviews of configuration management strategies.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze configuration management metrics and recommend opportunities to improve processes tools and data accuracy.
Marginal Duties
- Specification testing per customer and certification requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.
- Be actively engaged in the departments 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
- Abide by all safety quality personnel and other policies as applicable.
Work Qualifications:
- Formal education: Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a highly regulated quality-driven industry (e.g. aerospace medical etc).
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or product lifecycle management (PLM) systems or similar data management tools.
- Familiarity with ISO AS9100 or NADCAP quality systems (preferred).
- Proven ability to work with technical documents such as blueprints schematics CAD models and specifications.
- Certificates and Licenses: None required.

- Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical information.
