We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need of neurology expertise. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining the reputation of our company in the healthcare staffing industry.
As a Locum MD or DO in Neurology you will be involved in a variety of projects across different healthcare settings including hospitals clinics and medical centers. Your role will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders collaborating with healthcare teams and making a positive impact on patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Conduct neurological examinations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs CT scans and EEGs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding neurological conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of neurology.
- Adhere to all relevant medical and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Neurologist.
- Proven experience working as a Neurologist in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8a-5p
Call shifts required
Setting: Outpatient
Daily Volume: 10-12 patients a low callback volume
Cases: Childhood seizures epilepsy ADD and bread & butter neuro
Occasional consults in a Level III NICU
EEG lab onsite with 5 techs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
