Our client is a leading POS system integration provider within the payment ecosystem. The Technical Project manager will Ownlead and coordinate all software projects for Ingenico Japan. This includes working closely with cross functional teams ensuring projects are delivered on time within scope budget and to high quality standards. The role is responsible for technical integration projects (hardware software firmware payment terminals etc.) stakeholder management risk and issue resolution and ensuring compliance with relevant regional standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Own & lead the end-to-end management of software projects- from initiation planning design execution monitoring to closure.
Define and maintain project plans- scope schedule resources budgets milestones dependencies & risks.
Monitor progress against plans- manage changes in scope schedule budget; escalate as needed
Work closely with the regional sales team R&D team & Solution Engineer/GTM Lead to facilitate the creation of Solutions Designs that meet Customer and Company requirements.
Ensure the projects are accurately prioritized based on the customer milestones & the Company business objectives to drive the alignment with R&D/Engineering team resource & time planning.
Produce Statement of Work and estimate costs for customer proposals both high-level and detailed.
Proactively manage Ingenicos customer (external) & internal stakeholder expectations
Ensure Ingenicos Standard Operating Procedures are followed
Track and report progress of projects both internally and externally
Manage expectations and assignments both internally and externally
Identify roadblocks and improve processes to clear the path such that work practices are continuously improved
Requirements
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills (native Japanese & English)
Strong understanding of integration projects- APIs payment terminal systems/POS Cloud solutions payment or commerce workflows
Excellent stakeholder management skills; ability to communicate complex technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational planning time-management skills; ability to manage multiple complex concurrent projects.
Leadership skills: able to lead cross-functional teams motivate others manage vendor/contractor relationships
Effective project Risk and Issue management
Efficient project budget management
Knowledge of the Japanese payments industry and standards will be beneficial
Experience:
5 years experience in software delivery/technical Project Management roles preferably in Payments banking or finance industries
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project JIRA Confluence SharePoint) and documentation practices.
Proficiency in Agile ways of working & methodologies (eg: Scrum Kanban SAFe)
Experience in Android App development & integration is highly desired
Experience with certification / compliance processes relevant to payments / POS / terminals is a plus
Experience in Android software development projects will be preferred.
