Finance Administrator York (up to 27000 DOE)

Were recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a supportive and growing finance team based just to the West of York. You dont need to have worked in finance before if youve got office or administrative experience good organisational skills and the enthusiasm to learn this could be the opportunity for you.
If you already have some exposure to invoices purchase/sales ledger or have started AAT thats great but its not essential. What matters most is being proactive detail-focused and keen to develop your skills.
The business is based around 15 minutes drive from York City Centre however due to its location and transport links the ideal candidate would have access to a car.
What youll be doing
- Working closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller youll be supported and mentored through the role. Tasks will include:
- Processing and reconciling purchase invoices and supplier statements.
- Raising and processing sales invoices.
- Handling supplier and customer queries.
- Maintaining accurate supplier and customer records.
- Monitoring aged debt and following up on overdue payments.
- Assisting with payment runs and reconciliations.
- Supporting with ad hoc financial tasks.
