Position Summary
The Director of Online Learning leads evaluation quality assurance and continuous improvement of CUWAAs online programs. Reporting to the AVP for Academics this position ensures the quality scalability and mission alignment of online offerings while supporting the development of new adult-focused academic programs.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an institutional quality framework for online learning
- Conduct data-driven evaluations of courses and programs
- Collaborate with academic leadership to design and launch new non-traditional online programs
- Support the development of policies procedures and tools for ongoing online program improvement
- Provide professional development and resources to faculty engaged in online teaching.
- Maintain current knowledge of national trends and best practices in online education.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Advanced understanding of online pedagogy instructional design and adult learning theory.
- Excellent organizational communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong commitment to CUWAAs Christian mission and LCMS identity.
- Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education & Experience
- Masters degree required; doctorate preferred.
- Certification in online learning (e.g. Quality Matters) preferred.
- Experience designing evaluating or teaching online courses in higher education.
