Aerospace Engineering Vacuum Science Technician

As an Aerospace Engineering Vacuum Science Technician you will be responsible for the operation and daily support of vacuum chambers used to produce thin film coatings. You may be required to work from written or verbal instructions. This includes operating vacuum chamber equipment as well as providing written and verbal feedback to Vacuum Scientists or Engineers. This is an onsite position reporting to our Grand Prairie Texas facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of high vacuum chambers including the loading and unloading of large plastics and tooling

• Maintain a clean environment inside vacuum chambers

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the work area

• Performing basic preventative maintenance duties

• Load and unload production parts from vacuum chambers

• Replace consumables as needed

• Notify Supervision/Engineering of issues potentially affecting production

• Recording process data and creating reports

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Post high school degree preferred

• 1 year of experience with PLC controlled equipment

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

• Only US Citizens Green card holders political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

• Must be able to obtain Security Clearance upon employment.
