Role description:

Arcadis is in search of a Principal Market Business Development Lead Living that will report to our US West Living Practice Group Manager. The successful candidate will lead growth initiatives for ourLiving Practice Groupencompassing residential hospitality and mixed-use projectsacross the US West and Mexico with a primary focus on Texas. This senior position is responsible for developing nurturing and converting client relationships into project opportunities driving regional strategy and collaborating with design and delivery teams to elevate Arcadiss presence and impact in the Living sector.


This role will require 30% US specific travel

Role accountabilities:

  • Responsible for developing in conjunction with Global Practice Group DirectorMarket Strategists and USPractice Group Manager the business development strategy on an annual basis to achieve growth.
  • Responsible for the communication and delivery of the outward facing strategy across the US West and Mexico regions.
  • Sets business development targets for the living market in conjunction with the Practice Group Manager in the US West
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key developers investors hospitality brands mixed-use operators and industry partnersespecially within Texas but also across the US West and Mexico.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
  • Represent Arcadis at industry events conferences and networking opportunities; contribute to thought leadership and brand-building efforts with a focus on innovation in mixed-use as well as residential and hospitality projects.
  • Support marketing public relations and digital outreach for the Living Practice Group in the region.
  • Drives strategy and content for external marketing communications including special initiatives external and internal events conference speaking abstracts media relationships social media design awards etc.
  • Mentors advises and nurtures the current and future leaders across our studios creating a redundancy in key client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree Architecture Real Estate or related field preferred.
  • 12 years of relevant business development client management or consulting experience in the architecture engineering construction or real estate industry with a focus on residential hospitality and/or mixed-use sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of the Texas real estate and development landscape as well as familiarity with major markets in the US West and Mexico.
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining client relationships and delivering on growth targets including experience with mixed-use developments.
  • Exceptional communication networking and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading successful RFP/RFQ and proposal processes.
  • Ability to travel regionally (within Texas US West and Mexico) as required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Professional registration
  • Knowledge of sustainable principles and LEED accreditation

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $122000 - $208000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
