Job Summary
Power Plant Operator Gas Engines & Plant Systems
Pay: $27-37/hr (DOE)
Shift: Rotating 12 hour Shifts
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Operator to join our team and support the day-to-day operation of gas engines and associated plant systems. If you enjoy working with mechanical systems troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth plant performance this role offers a stable career path and hands-on technical experience.
What Youll Do
Operate gas engines and plant systems under the direction of the Operator Supervisor
Monitor engine performance fluid levels and site instrumentation for safe and efficient operation
Respond to alarms faults and abnormal conditionstaking action per training and procedures
Perform routine checks lubrication fluid top-ups and minor maintenance tasks
Assist with inspections filter changes pressure checks and general plant upkeep
Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards throughout the plant
Complete accurate shift documentation reports and logs
Work closely with supervisors troubleshooters and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance
What Were Looking For
Experience in power generation mechanical operations or industrial plant environments preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
Ability to work effectively in a shift-based role including nights and weekends
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to technical systems and operational procedures
