About the team
As Stripe expands up the stack from APIs to UIs hosted experiences and no-code solutions building for consumers has become an even more critical part of our mission to create the economic infrastructure of the internet. Consumers decide what to purchase how to purchase and who to purchase from. By focusing on their problems and needs the way they make decisions and the user journeys they follow we can build faster more trustworthy and higher converting products for consumers and merchants alike.
What youll do
As an engineer on the brand new Link Mobile team youll build apps and SDKs in service of growing Link Stripes one-click payment solution. Millions of consumers already use Stripe every year; this gives us a massive opportunity to accelerate the evolution of online commerce by making their experience the best it can be.
Stripe has not historically built consumer facing products. Were looking for engineers who are invigorated by the opportunity to have a major impact on how users interact with Stripe. You must be comfortable dealing with lots of ambiguity you should have exquisite attention to detail and be comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain Android SDKs and native apps
- Work with engineers product managers designers and stakeholders across the company to build new features and products
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements incorporating them as appropriate
- Collaborate with other mobile developers across Stripe to establish company-wide best practices
- Collaborate effectively in a distributed work environment maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues

Minimum requirements
- 2 years of Android development experience
- Experience writing readable maintainable and testable code
- Enjoy sweating the details of both user experience and API design
- Experience collaborating on product and design requirements with stakeholders
