Job Summary:
A Brighter Future Healthcare Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homecare Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care to clients in their homes. The Homecare CNA will assist with daily living activities personal care and health monitoring ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our clients. This position requires adherence to all applicable laws and regulations in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Care:Assist clients with personal hygiene including bathing dressing grooming and toileting.
- Mobility Assistance:Help clients with mobility including transfers from bed to wheelchair walking and range of motion exercises.
- Vital Signs Monitoring:Measure and record vital signs including temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure.
- Medication Reminders:Assist clients with medication reminders and follow care plans as instructed by healthcare professionals.
- Meal Preparation:Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to clients dietary needs and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping:Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning laundry and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Companionship:Provide emotional support and companionship to clients engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided client condition and any changes observed.
- Communication:Communicate effectively with clients family members and healthcare professionals regarding client care and needs.
- Safety:Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure the well-being of clients and yourself.
Qualifications:
- Certification:Must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience:Prior experience in home healthcare or a related field is preferred.
- CPR Certification:Current CPR certification required.
- Drivers License:Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
- Background Check:Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds stand bend and kneel for extended periods.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion:Demonstrated compassion patience and a strong desire to help others.
Work Environment:
- The Homecare CNA will work primarily in client homes providing one-on-one care. This role may require flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays to meet clients needs.
