About The Role

Casual positions available for the successful candidates! ((with potential of going part-time after probationary period)

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-driven therapy assistants to join our Aegis Woodlake team.

Location

Overlooking picturesque Lake Goollelal and adjacent to Yellagonga National Park Aegis Woodlake includes a host of well-appointed amenities including a beauty salon hydro spa library café alfresco courtyard dining quality furnishings and lounge areas where residents and guests can mingle in a relaxed and social Woodlake offers premium accommodation in the latest of Care Facility designs to complement a vibrant community in caring for the elderly.

As an integral part of the team you will:

  1. Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
  2. Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
  3. Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.
  4. Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.
  5. Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
  6. Accompany Resident groups on outings.

Requirements of the role

  1. Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
  2. A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential).
  3. Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
  4. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  5. Excellent customer service skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  7. Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  9. Have empathy with the elderly.
  10. Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
