Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Food Prep Coordinator will oversee the Grab & Go section of Natures Wonders
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepares fresh Grab & Go food daily as needed.
Keeps recipes current and organized.
Performs ordering and product planning to prevent Out of Stocks.
Research sources of products to keep cost competitive and maximize margins.
Adjusts pricing as needed.
Performs market research to determine trends to grow the department.
Works with Director of Purchasing to set and maintain budgets.
Works with marketing to promote specials and new items.
Maintains cleanliness in department and sets expectations for the team to do so.
Follows all health department guidelines.
Creates and documents procedures necessary for growing the Grab & Go
Assists with cashier duties as needed.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate: Must successfully complete and maintain Serve Safe certification
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a neat and clean workspace.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in a customer service environment.
Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimal to attend trainings and meetings as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular standing
Occasional computer work walking and lifting to 50lbs
Seldom to never sitting
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
