Job Description
The Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing at Weber State University seeks innovative and enthusiastic faculty who have a passion for nursing and nursing education. This is a 12-month position that can be filled as tenure-track or instructor depending on candidate qualifications. Instructor positions are temporary appointments that are renewable by separate contract at the sole discretion of the University.
Required Qualifications
Required: Doctorate degree but will hire with a Master of Science in Nursing with the condition that the Doctorate degree be completed within three years of hire. Must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE -accredited nursing program (or related/equivalent). Active Utah APRN license with prescriptive authority or be qualified for licensure in the State of Utah. National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Basic technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to integrate technology in nursing education. Previous experience as a nurse educator or recent experience as a nurse practitioner. Teaching experience in higher education. Clinical nursing experience in related areas of teaching. Demonstrated scholarship activities. Authored publications in peer-reviewed journals.
