Job Summary
Required Qualifications
Must be MA in English student in good standing. Must be a matriculated Master of Arts in English student in good academic standing. Successful candidates must attend mandatory informational and training sessions including online Canvas trainings prior to the beginning of their teaching appointment and must take MENG 6822/23 Teaching College Writing & Practicum in their first semester. GIs are expected to maintain good academic standing (a GPA of 3.25 or above B average) and complete successful reviews of teaching from composition and graduate program observers. To continue in the position beyond a semester TAs must do the above and receive satisfactory evaluations of their current course from students.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience (e.g. K-12 teaching undergraduate learning assistantships etc.) or teaching-related experience (e.g. tutoring in English and/or writing).
