Designed by an in-house team of maternity experts many of whom are mothers the brand emphasizes the importance of form fit and comfort in its products.

Role Purpose

To produce creative patterns for first samples through to production based on the Seraphine blocks and standards for multi-product categories including dresses separates outerwear eveningwear and tailoring.

Role Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Designers to discuss the different technical options to achieve their vision based on their own knowledge of product techniques
• Responsible for developing all new patterns from designers sketches
• Toiling as requested working in collaboration with the in-house machinists with feedback from the Designers
• Work in collaboration with the Technical team using the Seraphine blocks and standards
• Technical knowledge to produce garment patterns whilst maintaining cost efficiency
• Provide creative support to the technical team
• Problem solving liaising between design merchandising and factories
• Enhancing of historic styles
• Innovation for maternity styles and breast feeding access
• Following styles through from initial pattern making through to production
• Attend fit sessions for their styles and follow up with comments for next fit/production

Role Requirements:

• Previous experience as a creative pattern cutter from within a retail brand or supplier
• Excellent understanding of garment construction and manufacturing techniques in womenswear specifically Evening Dresses Tailoring and highly technical Outerwear
• Understands trends and designer requirements and how to commercially execute them
• Ability to work with pace and accuracy to Seraphine standards
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing)
• Ability to be privy to highly confidential information and ensure it remains so
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to use initiative
• High standard of integrity and discretion
• Experience with Gerber Software
