Youll be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality English lessons managing the classroom environment assessing learners and contributing to curriculum development. Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role youll need:

A recognised teaching qualification (or be working towards one)

A relevant degree or professional qualification in English or a related subject

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths

Lecturers must have demonstratable teaching experience

Knowledge of innovative teaching techniques and curriculum development
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging English lessons across GCSE and Functional Skills programmes

Plan prepare and assess learning materials and student assignments

Support learners through coaching mentoring and guidance

Contribute to curriculum development and course leadership

Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement

Participate in recruitment enrolment and quality assurance activities

Engage in professional development and contribute to departmental improvement
