Test Automation Engineer Java Web Services

We currently have a vacancy for a Test Automation Engineer - Java /Web Services fluent in English to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on-site at customer the context of the first assignment the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Design preparation and monitoring of automated tests;
• Contribution to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process;
• Evaluation of the tools and technology for automation best fit to the project within the DevSecOps approach;
• Creation of an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture;
• Design and development (new or modified) of test automation solutions that meet the business needs and apply continuous integration technologies especially targeting backend/web service-based interfaces;
• Enabling the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach;
• Creation of automated test reporting and metrics collection;
• Test automation;
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing analysis technical documentation deployment evaluation and reporting.

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 15 years;
• At least 1 year of specific expertise in Java;
• At least 1 year of specific expertise in Web Services;
• Good knowledge of test automation technologies tools and techniques;
• Experience in the creation of test automation solutions involving own programming;
• Good knowledge of Test Management and Defect Tracking tools;
• Experience in the test data management;
• Experience with scripting and programming: Java Groovy;
• Experience working with SQL and database servers;
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture;
• Knowledge of Relational DBMS;
• Experience using continuous integration techniques and tools: Bamboo Git;
• Experience using testing tools: SoapUI Postman Selenium WebDriver;
• Experience working with containerisation tools: Docker;
• Familiarity with interoperability technology (e.g. web services message-oriented middleware);
• Excellent command of the English language.
