Maintenance Planner

As the Maintenance Planner at Cornerstone Building Brands you will be responsible for improving the maintenance work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning scheduling and coordination of maintenance resources parts materials and equipment access. Prepare reports for management. Tracks and monitors cost and identify variance to budgeted plans. Work with Cornerstones Core Values in mind: Safety Integrity Innovation and Teamwork.

Responsibilities: 

• Comprehensive planning including but not limited to:
  • Researching
  • Scoping of work
  • Estimating material and labor (internal and external) job requirements
  • Developing task instructions
  • Identifying tool and equipment requirements
  • Developing job material list
• PM and Standard Job Plan Development.
• MRO Supply Chain Coordination.
  • Stock management including determining items to stock and QOH
  • Creation of purchase requisitions for planned work
  • Creation of stock reservations for planned work
  • Pick Ticket creation for planned work
  • Assist Storeroom function in the kitting and staging of job material requirements
• Coordinating with operations purchasing storeroom maintenance personnel and maintenance management. 
• Manage rebuilding parts program.
• Manage reporting metrics including PM analysis Break down analysis and labor utilization analysis.
• Active participation in maintenance and repair budget forecasting and budget tracking.
• Maintain a solid understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
• Supervise the work order system designed to establish priority and control over maintenance request from plant personnel. Ensures that work order requests are completed by the assigned deadline.
• Participate with reliability teams on improvement projects particularly associated with Proactive Maintenance Plans (PM/PdM).
• Work cross functionally and collaboratively in a wide range of activities.
• Utilize maintenance strategies to eliminate failures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability for independent decision-making.
• Must be flexible and responsive to the business needs.
• All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications :

• Associates Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in maintenance planning scheduling and technical operations.
• Knowledgeable in Word Excel PowerPoint and CMMS.
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience a plus but not a requirement.
• Strong Electrical/Mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication and people management skills.

Work Environment:

Cornerstone is committed to ensuring the health and safety of their workforce. However this job is performed in a non-air-conditioned work environment where the candidate may occasionally be exposed to dust odors oil fumes and noise. This position will be required to work near powered industrial trucks equipment and near moving mechanical parts.
