Role Overview

This position combines oversight of core accounting operations with responsibility for maintaining and improving the companys financial systems and reporting tools. Reporting directly to the Controller the Manager will ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting while also designing and implementing solutions that improve data integrity automation and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & financial reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations including the general ledger accounts payable/receivable payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Manage monthend quarterend and yearend close and prepare financial statements budgets forecasts and variance analyses.
- Maintain the general ledger ensuring accurate journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with tax filings coordinate internal and external reporting requirements and maintain internal controls.
Financial systems & reporting tools
- Serve as the liaison between finance and IT building and maintaining financial reporting dashboards using SQL PowerBI or similar tools.
- Identify accounting pain points and translate them into software solutions; automate workflows such as reconciliations intercompany transactions and reporting to reduce manual effort and errors.
- Ensure system compliance with accounting standards and datasecurity best practices.
- Train accounting staff on systems usage and new features fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital literacy.
Leadership & collaboration
- Supervise mentor and develop accounting staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the Controller IT and senior management to support companywide initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Information Systems or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
4 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities and working with financial/ERP systems in a technical or hybrid finance role.
Solid understanding of accounting methods and financial reporting standards.
Technical proficiency with SQL financial reporting tools automation scripts and integration technologies; advanced Excel skills are expected.
Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving abilities and excellent communication skills.
