AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Markham office. Youll work on a variety of projects and develop your technical skills with guidance from senior geotechnical engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and carry out geotechnical investigations for transportation municipal energy and commercial projects.
Oversee field investigations site inspections and prepare borehole logs and reports.
Support foundation design slope stability and settlement analyses.
Provide technical input and project management support for ongoing projects.
Prepare technical proposals and reports.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Ontario and Canada.
Maintain strong relationships with clients suppliers and subcontractors.
Travel occasionally for field work (e.g. drilling site assessments).
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Geological or Civil Engineering.
4 years of relevant geotechnical or civil engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Geotechnical or related engineering discipline.

6 years of consulting or geotechnical design experience.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of soil and rock mechanics QA/QC and construction oversight.
Familiarity with geotechnical software (e.g. PLAXIS GeoStudio Settle3D gINT AutoCAD).
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel Word).
Valid G-class drivers license.
