UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH) a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) has a full-time employed position available for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their practice located in Bel Air MD.
APP Job Specifics:
- The APP will manage and treat hospital-based patients predominantly in the IMC but will occasionally cover in the ICU. Mainly day shift with occasional nights as needed.
- The APP will be a member of the critical care team whose predominant focus would be IMC level patients with high medical complexity. Provider should be comfortable caring for higher acuity patients.
- While procedure skills are not a must have to apply the expectation is that this person will be trained and eventually expected to handle various procedural skills including central lines and intubations with on-site physician back up support.
- Nurse Practitioners must be acute care certified.
- Provider experience specifically in critical care is highly preferred.
