This paid internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the design of utility-scale and distributed generation solar and energy storage projects. You will participate in renewable energy projects from initial concept and early-stage design through construction IFC design gaining hands-on experience and expanding your technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with preparing the conceptual preliminary and final design and specifications that are complete accurate and in accordance with large-scale solar engineering practices.

Involved with the resolution of design challenges and tackle those challenges efficiently by thinking out-of-the-box thinking and using creativity.
Perform design computations and calculations related to the civil site design mass grading and earth work calculation.
Work closely with the design team to understand technical needs and identify most efficient solution(s).
Work closely with other engineering staff across multiple disciplines.

What you will bring:

Currently enrolled in a two- or four-year technical school college or university in civil/construction engineering land surveying or a related field.
Interest in civil design for utility-scale and distributed generation solar including mass grading earthwork calculations road design erosion and sediment control and drainage studies.
Experience with Civil 3D.
Detail-oriented committed to technical excellence and eager to learn.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum GPA of 3.4 preferred.
Prior internship or related consulting experience is a plus.
