Team presentation and main goal:
Within the Risk Direction in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Department the DG&S (Data Governance & Supervision) team is responsible for the overall coordination supervision of governance controls and all BCBS 239 processes as well as defining and implementing the Data strategy and managing the AI initiatives across all relevant applications and scopes. The team is also in charge of communication with the ECB the BPCE Group and senior management.
We are looking for a junior candidate to join our team as a Data Developer and Analyst with knowledge and enthusiasm for new technologies within the AI and the broader IT area banking risks regulations and the field of Data. The ideal candidate should also possess advanced programming skills particularly in VBA and Python and ideally have a solid experience in developing end-to-end applications (including visualizations e.g. with Tableau)
Main tasks and goals:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data analysis solutions that incorporate business and operational aspects.
- Utilize new technologies to improve existing processes and solutions.
- Program in Python/VBA/SQL for the creation of end-to-end applications.
- Apply theoretical knowledge of banking risks and regulations in the context of data analysis.
- Contribute to the implementation of Data solutions to meet the needs of business teams.
- Research and analyse potential AI applications within the organization identifying opportunities to leverage AI for enhanced data analysis and decision-making.
- Facilitate Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of AI initiatives and their implications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Data and AI-driven solutions ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Educate and Advocate for Data & AI: Share knowledge of Data & AI capabilities and benefits with team members and stakeholders fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
- Support Data Quality Initiatives: Work with teams to ensure high-quality data is available for AI models contributing to data governance and management efforts.
Qualifications :
Degree in Finance Computer Science Statistic (or relevant area)
- Good knowledge of banking activities and products as well as associated risks
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Excellent command of Excel and VBA as well as Microsoft tools (particularly PowerPoint and Word)
- Very good knowledge of SQL as well as Python or other programming languages (is desired)
- A first experience with BI tools would be highly appreciated (PowerBI Tableau Qlik etc.)
- Good theoretical knowledge of banking risks and regulations
- Basic knowledge of banking regulations and BCBS 239 principles
- Strong analytical skills rigor excellent written and oral presentation abilities and autonomy
- Great interpersonal skills that facilitate communication and presentation of work results to decision-makers along with strong listening abilities
