Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Works with MFAH Volunteer Services staff to coordinate and assist with supervision of volunteers assigned to various holiday activities and events.
- Assists directly with Volunteer Services to execute and prep all supplies for the MFAH Holiday events
- Assist with Bayou Bends Christmas Village by greeting guests reviewing event activities monitor activity materials and answer questions as appropriate. The activity stations include outdoor games a cotton snowball toss area music-making hand bell stations a holiday movie theater and a downhill sled slide.
- Motivates encourages and recognizes volunteers through words of encouragement breaks rewards or other appropriate methods.
- Assists Volunteer Services with onboarding volunteers nightly at Christmas Village.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for contact with public
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Flexible schedule with ability to work outside of normal workday as needed primarily evenings during the month of December.
Education and Experience:
- Event coordinating experience a plus
