The role of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that the operations of the production teams meet or exceed the expectations set forth by the operation leadership shift supervisor is responsible for the performance of their respective production team working to optimize the team ensuring our product is manufactured efficiently and of high quality and ensuring the team has the resources it needs to perform the work assigned safely. Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day facility operations including:- Direct supervision of a production team
- Coordination with the maintenance team as required to ensure equipment is performing at an optimal level for the production team
- Coordination with the quality team to ensure the team is packing a quality glove
- Coordination with the engineering team if the packing team sees defects on the gloves that need to be reported
- Coordination with the warehouse team to ensure packaging is being staged according to the production plan for the following 24hr and on Fridays for the weekend
- Participation in continuous improvement activities with maintenance (equipment issues) EH&S specialist (safety concerns) and engineering (glove performance)
- Daily safety walks and participation in safety committee meetings
- Holding team members accountable to expectations
- Ensuring ergonomic rotation of team members daily
- Reporting out on performance daily
Qualifications- 24/7 operation experience
- Experience working in chemical facility
- Two-year degree
- Experienced in having difficult conversations
- Two years experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of standardized business processes and internal control systems
- General knowledge of OSHA & EPA policies
- Comfortable in presenting to executives and plant personnel
- Excellent written verbal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience in the building of and development of teams
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Bi-lingual English & Spanish preferred
Working Conditions- Work Hours:
- Position operates in 12-hour shifts
- Overtime: compensated according to labor laws.
- Safety Standards:
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including helmets gloves and safety goggles.
- Regular safety drills including fire and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Clearly marked emergency exits and first aid stations.
- Work Environment:
- The role may require standing for extended periods walking around the facility squatting and occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects
- Well-ventilated and adequately lit workspaces.
- Working in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse can involve exposure to extreme temperatures
- Designated smoking areas outside of the facility.
- Training and Development:
