To keep pace with our continued growth we are in need of a Construction Lawyer ideally with large firm and/or in-house experience.
As a Caravel Construction Lawyer You will:
- Draft review and negotiate a wide range of agreements including CCDC contracts EPCMs engineering services agreements and other complex construction and development contracts.
- Advise on legal risk project structuring procurement strategy (including open RFPs) and execution across the full project lifecyclefrom pre-development to post-construction.
- Advise and negotiate P3/infrastructure agreements including concession design-build-finance-maintain and operations contracts.
- Advise and negotiate with outsourcing supply chain technology supply and licensing agreements and cloud services agreements as well as supply chain/procurement processes and issues including RFTs RFPs RFIs and RFQs and contract disputes related to such processes would be considered an asset
What would YOU Bring:
- Minimum of 8 yearsof practical related in house and/or private practice experience in Construction.
- Must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Experience with lien payments bonding issues disputes and questions relating to compliance with contractual requirements would be an asset.
- Experience working in a regulated industry would be an asset
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
